Swiss Chalet

We arrived around 645 and the line was extremely long. We didnt think it was that bad since it was still around dinner time so we were willing to wait. When we got close to the front we noticed a half empty restaurant. The reason for the wait was clearly because nobody was bothering to clean tables.
When we sat down it was 720 next to a dirty table. It took over twenty minutes for our server to greet us and another ten for us to get our drinks. This should have been a signal to leave but we didn't. Instead we ordered/ate and sat there till 845. We didnt bother to eat our desert and asked for it packed up and for the manager. The manager didn't give a crap that we were screwed around with for so long and said to my roommate you're quesadilla's take ten minutes to make. umm thanks for the information and the lack of apology.
She gave us coupons for a free desert with the purchase of an entree. Gee thanks for the coupons that were only good for that location since I wont be in Peterborough anymore. When we left the table beside us still wasn't clean.
Server was nice, food was good. Service was terrible and the manager doesn't care. Don't bother to go there.

We were part of a group of 8 people who arrived about 700 pm mid week.
We were seated and had our orders placed by about 7 20.
Our food did not arrive until about 825 (there was no explanation or appology until we complained as we were leaving).
A ONE HOUR WAIT is not acceptable.
If they had a problem, we should have been informed before our orders were taken. We could have had other important committments.
We will NOT RETURN TO THIS LOCATION

Ordered delivery to a hotel. Called the main number because I didn't feel like creating an account to order food. The lady on the phone was helpful and friendly. She directed the order to Peterborough. She gave a time frame of 45 minutes. This was fine as we were in no hurry and the food came within 20 minutes. We ordered perogies and 2 panini flatbread sandwiches with 2 sides. We ordered an extra dipping sauce because we were not informed the sanwiches came with it, so we had 3 and only wanted 1, no big deal. I was disappointed with my sandwich because the menu said it came with M.Jack cheese and bacon, both were missing. I really believe that cheese was an imitation cheese like spread. No way was it M.Jack cheese. The greek salad side came with 2 cheery tomatoes and 2 olives with 3 pieces of purple onion. It was a luke warm experience at best, too hungry to care so I'll probably cruise past the Swiss next time I roll into town.

I ordered some food, I got the chicken with a side of shrimp and poutine. The food was not exactly hot but nothing to complain about. Only thing i found wrong was the poutine, not the greatest. Fries werent thoroughly cooked, gravy wasnt the best but not to bad, but the cheese was awful. First of all, looked like they just grabbed a big chunk of cheese and slapped it on the top, everything came up with it when i poked it with the fork and the cheese was only on the top, so the rest was just gravy and fries. That is not a poutine. So to make a poutine, you should first put a layer of fries, put the cheese then a bit of gravy and then add another layer of the same and continue till you fill the dish.

Food is awesome and the staff is efficient and friendly all the time. I enjoy eating there all the time. Fries are awesome, and chicken is delicious.

Gross! Worst Swiss Chalet I've ever been to!

The Swiss Chalet on Landsdowne st in Peterborough, On is the loudest and most anoying Swiss Chalet i have been to. The food has been extremely inconsistant, i have lived here for a few years now and have had several complaints about the chicken being under cooked and the fries being refried and have not been treated like a valued customer! Think twice about dining there

Simple order, family meal. They forgot one of the sides. The chicken and salads were good. Would have been better with some mashed.
