The Original Greek

The best kept (not so) secret in Peterborough. We are from out-of-town and if we don't make a reservation we have no table. Simply amazing everything. Thanks for a great summer place away from our place in Toronto.

My husband and I are from Toronto and often eat in Toronto's Greek Town. This beat anything we had ever eaten in Greek Town -- by a landslide! The food was fresh, tasted amazing, and the service was incredible. This is NOT fast food. This is something to be savoured and enjoyed. Everything, from appetizer to dessert was served a precisely the right time, and there was never a rushed feel. This restaurant is obviously one that understands what it is to create a whole meal experience.

Haven't found anything close to The Original Greek in Durham Region, and the trip to Peterborough was worth while. If you're not going for the great food, great wine selection, awesome ambience then go thru someone's drive thru.

As a more than satisfied client of this restaurant, I must say that first the address is 724 Water St. and second no other restaurant can come close to the food, wine selection, service and aumbience of this establishment. Shake your head people, Peterborough is fortunate to have this gem.
