Saporito Italian Restaurant

We were a group of 9 last night at Saporito's. I have always loved this restaurant but, I really was disappointed as were the others in my group. When the specials were mentioned, nothing was said about the Monday night 2 for 1 pasta deal. We only found this out when we were leaving and read the signs. When asked why we weren't told about the Monday night special, we were told it was because we were a group. When we told the waitresses that the bread was stale and not edible, nothing was done about it. The Virgin Caesar was bland and something was missing in the drink, a disappointment to one of the girls. Also, two of the girls had to request that their pasta be reheated as it was served cold and unappetizing. We couldn't get any pepper from the pepper shakers but, did ask the waitress to serve us freshly ground pepper. There were no candles or light at our table and had to ask for the lights to be turned up. We felt, as a group, that the meals were far too over-priced for what we were served. It was just not a great experience for our birthday party group.

Last evening my wife and I enjoyed one of the best meals at Saporito's that we have ever eaten. Their snails were fabulous. Their meet dishes are excellent. We had their rack of lamb with mixed vegetables, and we both agreed that the taste was amazing. The owner, Jim, is putting together an evening of French dining in June. We will not miss it. If you would like an entertaining evening with the best food in Peterborough, we would definitely recommend Saportios. Enjoy

Wow, what a great restaurant. It is by far the best restaurant in Peterborough. The quality of the food is excellent, and a very good value for your money. The salads and veal dishes are excellent, but the rack of lamb is the best I have ever tasted. The cocktails are fabulous. Try the black russian. The desserts are always excellent, but my favourite is the chocolate molka cheesecake. The staff is friendly and attentive and the service is excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

An excellent restaurant in Peterborough. IT has the best Black Russian Cocktail I have ever tasted. The lamb chops are exquisite. The desserts are to die for. I would highly recommend this restaurant as the best restaurant in Peterborough. Try it!! You will not be disappointed. The owner Jim is very affable and you will enjoy your dinner immensely.
